#rallyforcoffee – happening on April 11th, 2020

The coffee industry is in the middle of a crisis and they need our help. Coffee shops and their employees have been devastated by the effects of COVID-19 and social distancing measures. That’s why we’re asking everyone to #RallyforCoffee on Saturday, April 11th by making a purchase online or for takeout at your local coffee shop.

Today, I saw another really cool initiative launch called Rally For Coffee. Backed by a great group of people, Created Co, this movement is all about creating action on a single day to show the coffee world we are with them. Here is what they are asking us to do (via their website):

1. Post on Social Media

Post the Rally for Coffee image on social media between 04/04 – 04/11 and tag a few of your favorite local coffee shops to encourage your friends to rally.

2. Rally for a Shop

On 04/11, let’s all rally for coffee by making a purchase online or for takeout at your local coffee shop. Buy a giftcard, order for take-out, buy beans, or buy some merch online.

3. Share Your Rally

Snap a photo to share with us and your community showing how you rallied for coffee by posting using the #RallyForCoffee.

Many of the local Oklahoma City area shops have had to closed down completely but I do know that several are taking online orders for wholebean and merch sales as well as gift cards so visit them online to see what they can offer. Here are a just a few of the shops I’d love for you to show some love: EVOKE, Clarity Coffee, Leaf + Bean, Coffee Slingers, Middlestate Coffee, Hoboken Coffee, Topeca Coffee.. I have so many more if you need other ideas. Just ask!

If they haven’t closed, they are probably offering curbside and togo so be sure if you ARE out and about to think of them when you drive by. Stop in (even if you already had your coffee for the day). Having a second cup shouldn’t hurt!

Thanks to Ryan and Jeremy for putting this together. I have always enjoyed using Created Co as a vendor and the work they do for our coffee community is impactful.

We got this. Together, we will get through it.
